Unfortunately, there is a weak link in my system, and it's my phono preamp. I had to scrap some original recordings made for this volume because the preamp was causing all sorts of glitches to appear in the audio files when recording via USB input on my laptop. Luckily it works much better on my desktop PC - but if you hear an errant skip in these recordings, it's because of the preamp and has been a problem since day one of digitizing records for me. I should have a new one in soon for better sound than ever!

these volumes are a great effort and deserve more acknowledgment, just one curiosity - on an early volume there was a song tagged as by Arnold, Martin & Morrow, didn't sound like the right track to me.
ReplyDeleteBest Regards
If you're referring to "I Believe In You" off of Volume 2, I double-checked and it is indeed the correct track. Here's the listing for it...

hi again, just been listening to the Arnold, Martin & Morrow collection on Spotify and the track you posted is definitely not "I
ReplyDeleteBelieve In You" nor any other track included there.......I like it though
seasonal best,
Time to eat my words. A one-in-a-million chance - but my single ended up being something entirely different that had labels from a different release pressed onto it! The actual song is Jeff Barry's "Sweet Saviour". Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
